just joined this forum, was on YJB for years. Had the sx out last weekend and starboard engine had water in the oil. Of course. Flushed it out twice and water kept coming back. Finally flushed it out to clean again and then clamped the waterline leading to the bottom of the oil cooler. Ran it on the hose for 10 minutes and no more water intrusion. Ordering a used oil pump on eBay for about 150. Thank god it wasn’t the head gasket (still hoping).
A lot of great information on this site! It’s great to have a place where we can pool together everyone’s knowledge and experience. Thank you to the administrators for keeping places like this going. It’s appreciated.

glad to have you on board, we don't see many of those go bad, be sure to check out the FAQ tab at the top of the page for lots of great tips,

Welcome! Sounds like good diagnosing to me. Let us know how it turns out!

Welcome @emolina
We are glad you found us.
As others said, please report back about this issue. I don't recall ever of hearing of the oil cooler going bad. Pictures would be helpful.
