So I am debating on adding more speakers to the cabin area on my 07 AR230. Currently the 07's have 4 cabin speakers but none in the bow area. I know the 08-09's have 2 in the bow. The only place I can think of to add 2 speakers to the bow area (without doing major upholstery) is to add them down low but they would be pretty close to each other. And I would need to worry about the clearance with the cooler on the SB side. I will need to measure for that.

Sorry, I don't have any good pictures of that area but can add some as soon as I can get to the boat.

Thanks
Mike

I have same year as you do. I decided to skip the bow and invest in better speakers. I don't hang out there much anyway :)

We are the same way but I thought it might add fuller sound to the entire cabin. But with the only place I can think of being so low maybe not.

Thanks for the feedback.

Here is a pic of someone putting 4 inch speakers in the bow. I have also seen where people have put speakers between the seat cushion and the vertical cushion.

Mounting smaller speakers at the very top of the coaming means good treble and bad lower mids & upper bass.
Mounting larger speakers low in the seating consoles means good emphasis on lower mids & upper bass but significantly muted treble.
Nothing you place in the bow will impact the cockpit experience.
Many people skip the bow speakers and use this area for a getaway, whether for adult conversation or for children.
