All,

I'm looking to replace my bow anchor on my 07 AR230 because I bent it. Does anybody know the factory replacement part number. (MAR-ANCHR-KT-00) is this it (150$)?. I want the vinyl covering anchor as my wife / Kids pull the anchor and don't want the anchor to tear up the gel coat or seats.

Or does anybody know a good after market version that has vinyl coat and fits into the anchor locker that's cheaper?

Thx all......

Overton's sells coated anchors in the right size for $40-60. Lots of colors to choose from.

My *&$%A^= anchor went to the bottom of Lake Cumberland this weekend and didn't come back up. We had 5 good solid years with it holding us in the Ohio River under heavy current and never had an issue. The only thing that I can figure is that I let it hit the bottom (80+ feet down) too fast and it cracked in two. The shakle was still connected to the end of the anchor chain so I know that wasn't the issue.

Anyways, I ordered this 14# anchor from Overtons and it arrived yesterday. The damn thing is HUGE! My last anchor was a 13# danforth style anchor, but it wasn't near as big as the one that I bought from Overton's. Unfortunately the company that I bought our previous anchor from in 2010 has gone out of business.

I am looking forward to hearing suggestions from other people on what I can buy that will fit in my anchor locker. I REALLY want a danforth/fluke style anchor and I REALLY want it to be 13 or 14 pounds since we do 99% of our boating in the Ohio River and we need something that will get down and stay down and grab quickly. I know a box anchor would never work for our river situation.

I believe that Walmart sells a danforth anchor that will fit. I am very happy with the cheap one that came with my boat after I added 5' of 3/8ths chain. The primary factor in fitting is to measure the width of the fixture in the achor locker then make sure the anchor is a similar width.
