Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
100% mechanical. I'll add that in almost 9 seasons I've had to replace a motor and the gps antenna. To my recollection that's about $450 worth of maintenance. Hopefully you are getting good components.
Knock on wood my display is still good. The part that sucks is that it started taking forever to get GPS lock and the PP guys said there was a battery in the GPS puck that ran down. I want to say it was $200 or more. They offered no discount or anything....just part of normal maintenance. Seems like bad design.
Yes, it is a bit counter-intuitive. The 210s from those MYs have APS modules (accelerator position sensor?) - so you can install RideSteady system there, but the 230s (with HO engines) - don't...
