Saturday my Father In Law and I ran the NoFlyZone 1/2 Mile Roll Races at the Gila Bend, AZ Municipal Airport in our 2016 Corvette Z06's, there were well over 100 fast cars out racing. The fastest guy ran 227 Mph in the 1/2 mile in his 2000 Hp Lamborghini, crazy fast.

Here are a couple of videos from my in car performance data recorder, it's fun to be able to legally speed :D

1st Video: Skip to the 2 Minute Mark, I turned on my PDR way too soon:

2nd Video: Racing a Modded Supercharged Camaro

That's awesome, Dan....what fun. I did Taladega in 14 with the Corvette Carvan.....got it up to about 107.....nothing like 150! Of course, I am in an old 2003 C5 :)

My best for the day was 153 Mph, however I have the Stage 3 Aero on the car which provides down force, but it also has a lot of drag. Next time I will install the Stage 1 Aero and should pick up 5 Mph.

What does it short shift in the first few gears? Traction control?

Not sure, this is an 8 Speed Automatic Transmission, it hunts for the best possible scenario no matter how you are driving it, it's an awesome transmission.

I miss my mustang....

I don't miss my Pinto.

Nice.

I need to look into what the local vette clubs are up to again. Last time I checked the did the rally's mid week and shows on the weekends.

Just curious, what did the modded supercharged camero get up to?

I think he did 165 Mph, his car was putting down some serious HP to the rear wheels.

Nice Dan!:winkingthumbsup"

nice! my buddy got a pb of 195 a few weeks ago with his supra but their main shop car a gtr has a pb of 235 the supra is still easily streetable though but obviously turned down a bit on pump gas

My buddy from high school was on the engineering team for the new corvettes. Pretty cool I remember getting him into cars and stuff when we were growing up and taught him to drive a stick shift.
