Boat Stuff 10-14 242 Limited S seats and cushions

Im selling the original Yamaha seats/cushions out of my 2011 242 Limited S. I’m redoing the boat to a 2012 interior.

Previous owner did not cover the boat resulting in sun damage/fading, however they are not in horrible condition. This is great for someone who lost a cushion or can recover parts of them with new upholstery.

I was going to recover them but decided against it as I just dont Have the time.

The seats will fit 2010-14 boats, however each year the pattern of the seats (color) changes slightly each year. The shape of them remains the same.

I will add some pics of the ones I have now, and I will have more when I get my boat back from the “Body shop”

Basically I will have the entire bow (minus the center removable ones)
And entire swim platform, and rear of boat, side cushions and flat cushions. Only ones I’m not selling yet are the captains chair and the foldable “chair” cushion that’s across from it.
I will take any reasonable offer and am willing to ship them, or can be picked up. I’m outside of philly PA. Let me know if there’s any you need.

Just google any 2012 242 Limited s and there ya go haha.
I recommend a darker color seadeck. I have the light gray in mine and I hate it. Shows dirt all the time and it’s very very hard to get the dirt out. I’ve had to get the damn power washer out

Nope! Just standard interior seats from a 2012, however the OUTSIDE of the boat is going to be a different beast lol

I recall her mentioning that it was not that the labor was not that bad. The cost is another topic for another ( sad) day.

The rear “backrest” seats on the swim platform were the hardest but not impossible. I have long arms and was able to get to all the bolts but was not easy. Ironically, today, I pulled the whole bow and rear side pieces out in less than two hours. Probably would of gotten all the new ones installed in the same amount of time if I didn’t have to leave the house for a party today.
Worst part is just the fiberglass in the skin a bit and having to play twister to try and get to some of these bolts.
Pain in the ass? Sure....but it went much smoother than I anticipated. I love having the new seats such an improvement!

It’s worth at least taking them out then, I’m sure will save you a ton!

I have a 2011 242 Limited S. Seats look exactly the same. If you don't mind, could you share your design and costs? I'm strongly considering replacing mine as they are really worn looking.

Doing the entire boat will run you into the 6k range if not more if you buy from yamaha like I did. Where I live there aren’t many boat upholstery people so it would of cost me almost the same price to recover them, so I just bought all new. If you live in a heavy boating area you can have them redone so much cheaper as there are many more boat guys that do it. I didn’t replace the captain chair or the left fold up chair. Everything else has been replaced.

As far as taking them out it’s all just really by feel. Take out speakers take out the big black circles in the engine bay. Anything you can to gain access. You’re going to need tools with extensions and you’re going to have a lot of fiberglass in your arms. The most difficult seats were the seat backs on the swim platform. Almost got divorced over those and I’m not married haha.
It’s wasnt bad but wasn’t easy.
I basically just put a 2012 interior in my 2011 because I wanted the flat white seats.
