11th Annual Pirates of Lanier Poker Run 7/18-19

Each year, Lake Lanier in North Georgia has a charity poker run where the big boats come out and rule the lake. It's a fun day if you don't mind a lot of boats and pirates.

It all starts and ends at Margaritaville island. They have some party (Cheeseburgers in Paradise) on Friday and wrap up with some fireworks on Saturday. We are typically spectators but might dress up the boat this year.

We will be out of town this weekend. For any around this is great event even if you want to just be on lake and watch the "go fast" zoom up and down lake.

A few years ago it changed from poker run when night before a cigarette flipped and killed the drivers. The past 2 years the offshore boats (wind ship, geico, and some others havent come for the event)

Plenty of nice boats and a good time. I'd reserve slip at margaritaville if want to hang there after the run for fun.
