2017 SX210.
Removed the 12volt cig lighter adapter from helm and tied those wires into my Garmin chartplotter couple years ago.
I want to add a USB charger port as well to that circuit/wires but don't want to overload it.
The Red and Black wires have some decent thickness. (14 or 16 ga guess?)
I know how to run a new wire from the batteries but don't want to go through that much trouble etc.
How can I tell or any opinion on what kind of load those wire/circuit will be ok with? Not sure what else is on the circuit etc.
Thanks!

Spec for my chart plotter.....

Power Input 9 to 18 Vdc

Typical current draw at 12 Vdc 0.8 A

Maximum current draw at 12 Vdc 1.25 A

Maximum power usage at 10 Vdc 15W
