165 Boat Bumpers / Fenders

Im looking for any insight on whats a good size length/diameter for a 165 scarab for like pulling up to a dock to get fuel and such. Wont do much boat to boat tie downs.

Im new to the boating scene (years with jetskis) and have no idea what size is too small or large for a small 165.

And then use a little rope to hook them to the cleats or you tie them somewhere else on yours? Ill definitely look these up.
