165ID Wakeboard Tower Removal

For those of you who have a 165 with the wakeboard tower, do you know if it's possible to remove the entire tower, not just the top half? It appears there are 6 bolts (3 on each side) that hold the lower part of the tower to the fixture on the gunwale. If these 6 bolts are removed can the tower be removed?

I'm looking hard for a little sport jet to replace our SeaRay. I want the tower option and the 300HP engine but I don't want the tower on all the time. Just wondering it it's easy to remove.
