I was at my local boat shop today picking up some Yamalube and I saw this cutaway. Thought it was cool, so I tried to get a few pictures of the back. You can see the space where the battery tray sits and how much room you have to put in screws before hitting the outter hull. Can also see the stringer supports, which is interesting. I'm not sure if all the wood by the stringers is just for this model display or what, but thought this forum would enjoy.

I've been there before, Park.

From what I understand, only in the older models. Today the only wood used is coated and placed for screw points like amps behind the dash, etc. The stringers, transom, is all glass now.

what year did that change occur?

Those large cavities are the major cause of how loud these boats are in the cabin. Wish they would foam fill the voids.

Not positive, but somewhere around 2012-2014 they went full glass. Then around 2017 they added noise reduction with some foam in the hull and tighter hull mating.

Who wants to cut their boat in half to find out? ???
