Hello
I just bought this 1999 Tango Sugar Sand and having issues getting it started. Battery is good, when i turn the switch i hate a ticking sound from the solenoid. I bypassed the switch and the engine is turning over but. it starting. I suspect the started solomon’s and the ignition box may have issues. Any advice?

1999 sugar sands starts and runs well but the limiter is activating too soon when throttle up. Cannot get up to ideal speed before the limiter alarm is triggered. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

does it have a tack and is it possibly cavitating

It has a tack. The boat runs well it just does not get to cruising speed. What does cavitating mean? I am outside now seems like something electrical.

what R P M is it hitting when the boat puts out a a warning , cavitation is caused by trash weeds etc in the pump making it spin fast but not have good pump presure so the boat goes slow but the engine spins like mad.

Around 3000RPM. It is not weeds. There is a buzz like when the engine is over reving

3000 rpm sounds like a limp mode to protect the engine. it is a 2 stroke V6 outboard powerhead on a jet pump

Yes it is a 2 stroke V6 175 mercury power head. Carbertor

Is there a way to get it out of limp mode?

I have read up on the issue and it is leading to the ECM as one of the main causes.
