First time boater checking in! Love the site and can’t stop reading- what a mass of awesome info!
Just picked up a 2019 242 LSE last week and had it out for the maiden voyage yesterday at Harris Lake! We live just outside of Raleigh, NC- so maybe we will see y’all around. Planning to frequent Harris and Jordan but want to eventually get out to the ICW to explore as well. So much fun! Drop your best tips for a 1st time boater below ?? ?4211BD70-D843-406B-8938-47A5AE4EC40C.jpeg9085EA51-CED4-4B62-9350-5D5791799A5F.jpegFC7E6765-BD95-4445-9D4F-BBC58404AE51.jpeg1E555015-F87A-4E05-A7A9-C42340FC7745.jpeg

Beautiful boat and family! Congratulations! You asked for tips. There are several but will just leave one. Docking and trailering was difficult for me to figure out, partially because the boat is always moving forward, even in neutral. I finally figured out to just approach everything gently by moving the throttles independently in and out of neutral and using those throttles to do most of the steering. Give it a try. Enjoy!

Welcome and glad you found us! I'm in Raleigh too...

Welcome and congrats on the awesome boat! Take it slow when trailering and docking, don’t forget to turn it off when you think you’ve got it so that way you’re actually in your true neutral. And don’t forget the drain plug before you get in the water ?

Welcome! Triple check your drain plug. Water over the cleanout plugs is normal. Don't come into any dock or ramp faster than you're willing to hit it.

That is a beautiful boat. Any scratches from the trailer bunks on the bottom of the hull?

Not that I can tell! Looks pretty clean

Congratulations! What a beautiful family. Welcome to the jet boaters encyclopedia!

Great looking boat, and family. We go to Jordan and Kerr lake mostly. Hope to see you out there.

Pro tip: Keep the commodore happy.
