If you could go to one place for a 20 year wedding anniversary, where would go??

We have been to a few great places... Maui, Kauai, Tortola, New Zealand, Australia, Cabo San Lucas, and now here. Was looking at Belize but don't know much about the place. The eastern Caribbean has a lot of great islands for sure!!! You would not go wrong there. I don't know if I want to go to Europe right now. Just too much sh*t going on over there right now.

@Jim Robeson Congratulations to you two.. Funny you bring this up.. my wife and will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary as well this fall. I am experiencing the same quandary. She is talking" this needs to be big".. lol.. Duh oh.:wideyed:

Take her & the boat on the Bimini trip next year!!!! :)

I could write pages on this @Jim Robeson . If you two have never been to Paris, it is absolutely the most romantic place your wife will ever see. It is just a wonderful place to walk the streets, take in the history, the museums, the ambiance. Have a cafe at a sidewalk bistro, see the Mona Lisa, visit the Versailles (palace, gardens, hall of mirrors), the Arc de Triomphe, The Eiffle Tower, the Seine, Musee du Louvre, Musee du Orsay, Notre Dame, however there are many spectacular cathedrals, Monets house and garden, for that matter...so many works from the many impressionists, of course Pablo Picasso's museum, and hey, I am from the 60's too, so how about smoking a doobie at Jim Morrisons grave site! Well, seeing it at least if you wanted. I took Clara for a week and she was radiant the entire week. I had asked many F/A's their favorite places there as I was flying there all the time back then. They told me to take her to Angelinas Cafe for hot chocolate and pastry on Rue du Rivoli. And we took the train about 60km to Giverny, and rented two bicycles at a local pub across from a very rural train station, rode into town on cobble stone streets, bought a half roast chicken/creme brûlée/ potatoes/water/wine, and proceeded to right about 5km down a path through the countryside to Monets House and Garden. Monet was not only a great impressionist, he was known in France as a great gardener. The garden is probably the most magnificent garden I have seen and I have been to Victoria! I won't go on, but can provide you much in the way of intel on a trip there. I also may still have a contact with a quaint and affordable place in the 1st arrondissement that is only two blocks from the Louvre! Here is a pic of Monets garden and what he painted so many times...

We go to Maui and stay in Hana for all but one day of our vacation. Hana is Heaven on earth. But it is quiet, remote, and peaceful. A great place to hide away and enjoy each other. I have good intel for that too if you like. Bermuda is a place far from the chaotic caribbean is more uptown and formal, Alaska is a lifetime trip, and there are places here in the USA that I would gladly steal away to for time with my wife. If you haven't been to some of these...they are up there with some great places to spend a honeymoon from our perspective. Be glad to share any info you may want.vacation 2004 328.jpg

We honeymooned in Bora Bora which was great but expensive.

This year we celebrate 30 wonderful years of marriage in September. We are taking an Alaska cruise in June (better month to cruise there than September) which we've wanted to do for many years.

20th Anniversary is China, so how about taking her there, not like me, I bought my missus a china cookie barrel :(;)

@Jim Robeson and @Lspeedss I think it depends on when you are planning on going, how long of trip you can take, and what the two of you enjoy doing together.
Can you give us some more information?

Almost spit my beer out on Branson! We just drove to Captivia island and OMG!!! The homes there were just ginormous!!!

Get a head start and join us for Bimini 2014-June 22.

For my wife it would be The Maldives

Fraser Island is an awesome place to relax.

So is Green Island.

Everyone should drink a stein and eat a strudel at Das Marienplatz in München.

Venice is considered romantic.

We lived in Europe for over six years. So if you have questions about European destinations I may be able to help.

I agree with you about Munich, maybe not for 20yr anniversary.
I lived there for 3 years.
Venice is a good one though. Start in Venice then a villa in Tuscany.

@soggyshoes ... the wife likes warm, ocean breeze and lots of sun. We were married March 4, 1995 and would probably go during the first part of March. Could stay as long as two weeks.

Nothing to worry about in Europe. We were just there last summer. I have plenty if friends that still live there
