I’m new to this chat and looking for assistance. We have a 2007 Yamaha SX230 and live outside of Columbus Ohio. We just moved to a lake and it is very hard to find someone that is reliable and can work on jet boats. Checked the oil and noticed the “milky oil” finally found someone to work on the boat and they determined it was the gasket. They replaced the gasket and now that engine will not start??? Compression is 150, getting a spark, and the other engine fires right up! The person currently working on this boat says I may need a new engine???? The boat has always fired up and had no issues before but how can replacing a gasket turn into the engine not starting?! I’m trying to ask for guidance on who in Ohio or Midwest can look at this. Everyone around my lake says they will not work on jet boats or are 3 months backed up. My family and I recently moved to a lake and now we are without a boat and no one to trust. Please help and thank you.
