Hi Everyone, I'm coming back to the forum to seek guidance because you all are so helpful. So yesterday out on the lake, we beached the boat a couple of times to let the kids play. When we were heading home for the day, I noticed the speedometer was reading zero. I did some reading on the forum last night and think it could possible be the wheel on the back of the boat was damaged - or hopefully just has some sand/dirt in it making it stuck. I am going to look at it later this week and see if I can diagnose it. Do you guys have any hints or tips that I should keep my eye out for? Thanks in advance!

Make sure the mount is not loose. I've found this pinwheel works best if it's angled down just a bit in the back to allow more bite
it the running water. (You may have to trim it some or shim the upper lip) Also clean it with Lime-A-Way cause that wheel needs
to move freely in the water. The lake I run has a lot of hard water.

And you may want to consider spraying it with silicone spray.

Thanks, everyone for the tips. I haven't made it out to see the boat yet but plan to do so in the next couple of days.

Hey guys, yesterday we took the boat out and I checked the wheel, there was some dirt caught in it. I flicked it and it started spinning freely. One of the vanes is off but it doesn't look like a fresh incident. Out on the water the speedometer worked well! Thanks to you all!!!
