So it finally happened... My 7 year old stereo system is having issues, specifically the head unit seems to be fried. In addition to the 6 stock speakers and 2 tweeters, I have added a pair of wet sounds towers and a 10" sub powered by a 4 channel wet sounds amp. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a head unit replacement? Is repurchasing the factory unit the only way to utilize the controls on the swim platform? If so where do I get this? Is that what others would recommend? I'm definitely not an AV expert. I had the upgrades installed professionally by someone else.

I believe your system is an Aquatics AV. Here's a link to their website if you want to use the same thing. They have just a couple options that will fit your space. Be sure to check the specs.

I have an AR240 2013 and I think the HU is bad too. Any suggestions for replacements? My HU is a Clarion.

Search for “stereo” and “clarion” in the search option of this forum. You’ll see a lot of threads of people upgrading their gear. Maybe there will be something there that can help.
