2012 242 LS Need Head Unit Replacement

Ended up with a Wet Sounds MC2 from a raffle but my stock unit is below. Is it possible to mount this here without a huge effort or cutting having a hole still etc new one is square and this is rectangular.

OR sell it anyone want it worth $350 ? And go with a different style like Rockford Fosagte pmx-5 ? Would that fit without any problems?

Not sure about square vs rectangle with space you have to work with. I went Fusion route and my new stereo was smaller than same one you have now. I found marine board already cut/sized to fit my Fusion stereo model number on eBay and just bought it and installed it directly. Very simple for me going that route.
