2012 AR240 Tower Price

As some of you know I am replacing my factory tower and bimini with an after market. Anyone know what I should ask for the factory tower with all the parts? I was talking to the installers and they indicated that if I listed it on ebay that insurance companies often will look for parts for towers and it could be worth up to 2500 dollars for the entire assembly. Is there any truth to that? Im just not sure how much I should be listing this stuff for.

You search Ebay for a tower like yours to see what they are selling for? You look at Craigslist?

Yep! None are out there...I would imagine its fairly rare to remove the factory tower and install an aftermarket tower. Most are probably SX boats adding an aftermarket.

I would get an average for new stock and aftermarket towers for your year and similar SX's. Then use that as a starting point. I was looking into getting a 232s tower for my SX, and the price from yamaha put me off it, even though it its an awesome reversed rounded design.

I agree that what you have is somewhat of a rare item. That said, typically used parts from boats, motorcycles, ATV's etc., sell for approximately 50% the cost of the new OEM part.
