Help:

I've got the 2016 242 Limited S.
Port side engine turns over but won't start.
I've checked the emergency cut off switches in the swim platform. The drive cable is intact. What could possibly be causing this problem.

Nice.
I've been given that response by some and I just want to hear from those who are living the life.
Q: do you have a particular plug you like to use?

Thanks so much for getting back

The Plug Change PDF is awesome. What tools to buy and parts to use. I only buy Yamaha plugs that are gapped correctly. Careful to not overtigthen and use the recommended anti-seize. I am not mechanically inclinded ... the PDF is fool proof. Things might look a tad different in a 2016, but will be close enough.

@DanielMcp The plugs for 1.8 engines are LFR6A.
Also check out the FAQ section for advise on "engine not starting"
Guys will chime in, you are in good hands!

Cycle the safety lanyard a couple times. It has contacts for each engine and will let it turn over but not start.

Just wanna say thanks to everyone for the sound advice. I change the plugs with anti seize. Additionally needed a new laynRd for the safety cut off. Boat ran like a champ.

Thanks again everyone. I would have been lost with out the help.
