Any ideas on how to get a bigger Bimini top for a 2016 AR 240? I just feel like the current tower top is just not big enough during the scorching Oklahoma Summers. I would like to get another top that would give me maybe another foot or two in front and back coverage. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe it would be possible to have a custom extension made, like the stock extension on the 08-10 212X? The extension zips onto the stern portion of the main bimini, and is supported by a typical upside U shaped poles tethered by a couple straps. Sorry for the poor resolution, but you can see how things attach...

Ok thanks for the info.

you could look into an idea like this from @MrMoose. Anything bigger remember isn't recommend to drive while deployed but I believe they make a very large sunshade though.

It is also here post #8. https://jetboaters.net/threads/anyone-use-the-yamaha-sun-shade.10304/#post-176364

I made a 3-foot bimini extension: two wake tower flag holders, some half-inch rod, bungee cord, spring clamps, a 3x5 foot banner, 6 inches of pool noodle and a few nuts/bolts/washers. In addition, I use spring clamps to hold a banner on the side where the sun is shining to create more shade in the cockpit area. Feel free to message me if you are interested in doing this yourself. I like it because it assembles/disassembles and stores easily. ... and it won't sink when I drop it in the water. I don't have a need for bow shade because we hang-out at the stern, but it would be easy enough to apply the same concept for a forward-facing extension. No problems with wind yet. I do not use it while cruising unless speed/wind is low.
Here are a few pics.

A canvas shop can make you a bigger one. If you were closer to me I know a guy that can do it here.

Oh ok thank you. My idea was to be able to get longer polls to retro fit it and than have a new bigger awning cover for the polls. Even if I could get new poles for the front bow area on the tower to extend about another foot, I think I should be good than. Just not much coverage over the Captain seat IMO.

Sounds like you have to trade it in for a new e series!

Haha no way! Those towers are ridiculous. If they fold just like the AR than I all in.
