Just recently bought a 2016 FSH 190 Sport and with only 18 hours on the boat. Took the boat out a handful of times with no problems. Took it out the past weekend and went to go visit another cover and got going 30 mph then lost power and went to 20 mph. I went back to idle shut the boat off and the boat went into a fail safe mode that would only allow me to go 10 mph max at 8k RPM. Batteries were fine, engine turned over immediately after turning off and on. Have had this happen the weekend before this but was able to turn the boat off and on and it fixed it self. Any suggestions?

If you were still turning 8k rpm then the boat is not in fail safe mode. That only allows like 3k rpm, and you'd have a constant alarm and check engine light. Sounds like you either sucked something up, or check the reverse bucket for issues/loose connection.

Good catch! I didn't notice the 8k rpm. Yup....something is mostly likely stuck in your pump.

Ok I will give that a look at. No check engine only thing when I ran the diag test was "no engine comm" but no alarm or check engine popped up.

Let us know what you find. Pictures help too, if you can't find something obvious.

Sounds like something stuck in the pump. Been there done that.
