I would like to add the motorguide xi5 80 lb thrust
Saltwater unit to the boat

And

Simirad go9 xse with side imaging and total scan etc

Has anyone installed these to their boat

Interested to see if it works with nmea 2000 connection so i can remove them rpm guages and install that simrad go9 where the guages were im thinking

Please advise with pics or details or concrete working ideas please

I mounted a GO 7 XSR on my 2017 242 using a RAM mount just behind the steering wheel. It obstructs the RPM cluster but they're still usable and mostly unneeded. The simrad won't be able to connect to the yamaha systems, unless a new fix has come out. Our boats use a proprietary coding and not NMEA. I believe @Mainah has posted a decent thread touching on connext and RPM readouts, but can't remember for sure. Try doing a search through the forums. The Yamaha outboards are capable of communicating with the simrads, so don't believe the dealer when they swear that it is compatible with our boats systems.

Mine is mounted on the side using an undermounted piece of black starboard

NMEA will not work on your boat. I don't think the Go9 would fit on the dash without you having to signficantly change it (including raising the top cover). I have a go7 and have been this has been on my list for a while, and the footprint would just barely fit.
