2017 chaparral 223 vrx engine lamp indicator.

My Chaparral 233 vrx has 7 inch medallion screen. Engine began smoking after going through weeds and engine lamp indicating fault or malfunction came on. I think engine went in limp home mode as I lost speed Checked all areas under boat when on Boat lift. Couldn’t see anything. Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.
