2017 chaparral 223vrx engine smoking

Chaparral 223 vrx engine is smoking and engine management fault pilot lamp on. I think I am in limp home mode but I don’t see any communication indicating such. Went through weeds so this may have been issue but put boat on trailer and I don’t see anything. Did notice going in that port side engine at less RPM. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
