Any one put a bunch of ballast on one of these? If so what kind of rpms’s are you running at surf speeds? I don’t really care about top end speed, prefer the J seating and the cost savings over the 212. In regards to top speed I have little kids and find that we never go fast anyways. Note I posted something similar in the 21’ specific area but got no reply.

You need @jcyamaharider ’s transom bag and maybe #400-#600 in the ski locker and some heavy friends don’t hurt... you’ll be pushing the tr-1’s pretty hard on rpm to get to surf speeds of 9-11mph. I’d say easily 5k-7k on the tachs but it’ll do fine

Just to clarify I currently have a 19’ and could not agree more with the transom bag. I have been in a 212X with the custom ballast bag and have one for my 19’ as well. I was just inquiring as I am considering going with a 21’ or 24’. I have drove a 210 but not weighted down with ballast. If the motors are not screaming with a ballast I’m leaning towards this model.

I’d say if you’re coming from the 192/195 model it may seem like a lateral move or slight step down in power; where the twin 1.8’s is more equivalent to the supercharged single motor feel but obviously carrying more weight... I’d still think wakesurf is fine but carrying any ballast and trying to hit wakeboard speeds would be a challenge...
