If you're going to buy a spare, have you thought about changing out the wheels completely?
I ask because I did this on my trailer for my 242 and it totally changed the look. I ordered new wheels for my trailer from http://recstuff.com and they were only about $70 each. Here's what mine looked once changed out...
I was going to order custom aluminum wheels with radial tires in time for our trip to the gulf week after next but couldn't get them shipped in time without paying a ton extra in shipping. So I bit the bullet and bought another galvanized wheel and bias ply tire just so I will finally have a spare to take with me on the roadtrip.
@Matt Phillips those look great and were one of the wheels I was looking at! Great to see them on the trailer. It looks so much better!
I too just upgradded and installed aluminum wheels. So one of my "old" OEM wheel/tires is for sale. Will make a great spare. Send me a PM if anyone is interested. I have not looked into shipping costs but I assume I would be around $80+ shipping? It's off the SX195 set-up. Carlisle bias ply tire, load range C. 215/75 D 14. Less than 300 miles on it.

Did you go with the exact same size radial tire? I haven't looked yet but I would have thought ST tire would have a much higher weight capacity. Id love to switch to some radials as long as I can find a heavy enough tire
I did go with the same size tires as stock. I put on the GoodYear Endurance (the new ones hat came out about a year ago) as they are ‘D’ rated tired vs the “C” rated tires that came on it. You definitely want the new GoodYear radials over the Marathons (older design) as those have a tendency to have soft sidewalks.
On my 09 I had Maxxis 8008s on the trailer and those worked fine as well.
