2017 Shipping Covers

the 2017 shipping covers cover way more of the boat than the previous years. The bows of the boats get protected very nicely. I think this is great on the 19s and SX models, but look at the 242 X shipping cover. There is a huge Velcro seam at the tower. The 242X also ships with a 1.5 foot steel brace to keep the tower in place while shipping. This looks pretty easily installed/removed and could be useful when towing.

The 19 below had its bow full of rain water so it looks funny in the below picture, but look how much of the boat the cover actually protects!

As far as the shipping covers, the after market premium covers have the same velcro set up. It's the only way to get it around the tower. The premium does have an extra buckle at the bottom too for the ratchet strap and it holds quite nicely (not sure how the factory setup works). Never had any issues with the velcro coming undone.

"If" you do buy I would recommend Chatlee over Perfmorance East. It's a little longer drive but they always have good selection and they store them inside versus outside. Both dealerships were super nice but I felt better with the knowledge at Chatlee. Chatlee is a true boat dealer, Performance East feels more like a motorcylye/ATV dealer that sells boats.

Those are 2018 boats, right? My '17 shipping cover comes just below the rubrail. I like the new vent locations too.

I agree with Andy, i got my ski and boat from performance east and they were very limited on inventory and didnt seem intetested in finding anything else for me.
Definitely mord interested in selling other stuff.
But if they have what exactly what you want they make good deals

My shipping cover went into the dumpster at work it was a mess. 2 years and it was done. Now i have the deluxe cover got it from Yamaha Sports plaza for under $700
It fits way better
