Ive decided to try to sell my 2017 Yamaha 190FSH Deluxe.. I hold the title to the boat and trailer in hand. Not desperate to sell, don't need to sell.

The boat cost $34K new with taxes and all. the extras are worth over $5000.

Is your 190 FSH still available?

Yes it is

I dont know if its CA compliant.. what info do you need to know?

I pretty sure CA compliant only applies to new boat sales.

Suchawiitygal and I bought txav8r's boat from Texas and brought it back to California and we went through HELL
trying to get it registered. First they told us we need to contact Yamaha and get the red stickers for the engines and THAT never happened. Finally I called Sacramento and they said because it wasn't neither considered inboard or outboard, it was considered a big jet ski and we got everything passed. We paid California sales taxes ofcourse but its all said and done.

Just register it in Arizona. You don't need an instate address and the time you take to drive there for vin verification will be worth it over dealing with the California DMV. I fought for 2 years with my FX SVHO in CA and finally gave up, they just suck for registering used watercraft.

Interesting what year and model boat did you buy? Might be the loophole I need. Just odd all the dealership said no way, even if it was used. Reasoning is it isn’t legal new, would be the same used. I’ll check into it. Thanks.

Any issues with getting asked by law enforcement or park ranger why the jet ski and trailer has AZ plates while you live in CA?

Nope not at all, actually watercraft law in the U.S. technically says that the craft is to be registered in the state of primary use which is Arizona for me, most of the time. Funny thing was that I had my skis and trailer inspected a few times by CA boarder agents and NPS rangers and none of them asked why I had an FL number on the ski with no tag and a trailer with no plate (during the time I was fighting the DMV, I also kept all of my paperwork with me just in case) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you planning on using it in the ocean or on a lake?

Most of the time will be using it on the lake. Just a couple of times a year will it go into the ocean.

Get it sold yet?
