Drop dead sexy

you mean the cleavage?

Beautiful. Might have to move up to one someday.

I wonder why don't they put the 242x E series bimini on the 212x?

I'm glad that they don't/didn't. It really rare that we use ours...

I rarely used mine when I lived up north too! I think they wanted to keep the price down, and the boat more "flexible" for the mid range size buyer.

Man we pretty much use ours every outing! Of course my 1st mate is a red head! ;)

I was thinking, too, that the cleavage wasn't included in previous models.

@Julian But the clevage is automatic comes shortly after you buy one.
Is the inside bigger than last year? I really liked it but the wife wanted a little more room.

Yamaha just priced themselves out of the wakeboard boat market, the price points for their boats is what brought me to Yamaha in the first place. If I were going to spend nearly 60K for a boat to surf/wakeboard it wouldn't be this boat, there are a lot better options in that price range.

I'm not sure thats accurate. The "real" wake boats all cost well over $100K. Yamaha offers a nice alternative with quality, fit and finish, and other features that make it useful for other things.

Axis and Moomba boats start around 55k or so IIRC, unless of course you don't consider those "real' wake boats lol. Let's not forget that you can talk down those kind of boat prices unlike Yamaha dealers who often stay real close to MSRP. Sure Axis and Moomba aren't the quality of a Tige or Mastercraft but they are nice wake boats. My cousin has a 24' Axis and it throws a nice clean wake for surfing!

Some pics of his boat and wake...

Yep Moomba, Axis, Mastercraft NXT are all options in the 60K price range

I'm finding a slight savings in the 2017 212x bc almost everything comes standard. When i build out a moomba or NXT with everything i would want im at 70k+ (especially NXT). I didnt find the price jump from the 2016 t0 2017 that bad when you consider what you are adding.

How much $ in upgrades would you have to put into a 212x to get that kind of wake? I am ignorant on wake boats but from what I can tell you still have to modify the 212x and 242x to get quality wake. Is that the case? At Yamaha's 2017 prices I would expect the X lines capable of doing it from the factory.
