All yamaha performance skis top out at 68/69 mph. The big cruisers with the svho engine are not limited but the weight and hull design keeps them below 70mph.
The gp1800 is limited

I have the gp1800 and it pulls all the to 65-70 then the limiter kicks in and you lunge forward. I think a flashed ecu is in my future.

That is nuts.
Okay - not to derail the thread, but because I have to ask. Were you ever tempted to have them reflash your boat 1.8s? Not for top speed, but the response curve etc. Just wondering. Apparently they are reflashing @SamCF 192 for use with regular fuel.

Nope, I find my boat is just fine the way it is.
Boat is for cruising and hanging out, maybe some water sports.
Ski is for crazy fun

It is just crazy fun to drive. I dont go top speed often for long periods cause it will drain the 18 gallon tank in 1 hour or so spinning at 8500rpms
