2018 190FSH sales vs 210FSH sales

Two days ago I visited Barney’s in ClearWater Florida and they had close to a dozen 190 FSH, Deluxe, Sport, and one 190 SX left in their inventory. Everything else was gone. Even though I own a Deluxe, I had a sales man give me an OTD price on a Deluxe. Sales man came back with an OTD price on the Deluxe of $29,415 ($600+ discount). I was surprised and upset as I paid $31000 and change for a 2017 same time last year and thought I got a good price. By the way mine was brought down from Panama City as there was nothing left in the area. I asked the sales man what was going on and he explained they along with other dealers misjudged the economy and the popularity of the 19’ vs 21’ FSH. They ordered the same number of the lower end jet boats and jet skis as the previous year and not enough of the higher end units. He explained that since economic upturn the low end boats and jet skis have sold at slower pace and the higher end items have basically sold. This is why they had so many left and needed to unload. Wondering if any of you out there have seen or heard similar stories and if any of you are looking to buy 190 FSH Barney’s and probably other dealers have some incredible deals. The same is true for jet skis.

Bought my 2018 190fsh sport from Panama City 3 weeks ago. Paid 31000 (with the 2000 off from Yamaha) , also made them give me 2000 more than they had offered on my trade in. They had sold out of 210s within 3 weeks of getting them . They had 1 190 sport left but had a buyer for it.

@Hector Leiva yes I had this same talk with my dealer last week while looking at skis. They had a ton of Seadoo Sparks and Yamaha EX's and very few of the higher end models and I was told the same thing they were willing to unload the the Sparks and EX's they said with the economy booming they were not selling everyone was looking at the higher end modelsand they too had over ordered on the lower end models and were basically sold out of the higher end units. Good time for someone to jump on a cheap ski.

If they buy it as a 100% fishing (ocean trolling in particular) platform, then yes. If they seek a combo boat and trolling isn't a primary goal...then disagree. (for those that don't know this member...he bought an FSH for fishing primarily...didn't like it...probably lost money on it....and is on a mission to troll every thread about the boat....perhaps you should link to your story in your signature Clemsontiger?)

Since this thread has already been highjacked....I am seriously curious as to @ClemsonTiger story behind his hatred for the FSH. I am new to the forum and have noticed the many comments left by you. I bought the 21 FSH sport about a month ago. Enjoying it so far, but still skeptical about long term. I tried to go back and look at your old post to piece together the story, but it seems someone replaced your comments with the number 1, or deleted them all together. This is not meant as an attack. Just want truthful opinions from previous owners good and bad.

8th or 9th month of ownership I decided to part ways with the boat regardless of how much of a loss I was going to take.

I couldn’t even get the dealer I purchased the boat from to take it back...for any price...they flat out refused and wanted nothing to do with it which I do not blame them for.

Someone made me an offer on the boat. I tried to talk them out of the boat because I didn’t want my headache to become someone’s headache unknowingly on their part.

My efforts to talk them out of purchasing the boat did not prevail, so I sold it to them with no guilt.

Thats it...plastic rod holders and leaking anchor locker? Known issue, resolved. The boat I really wanted was a Scout 251xs. I still want it but cant afford $125,000 boat (SS rod holders). I understand that my $45000 boat might not have the build quality of something way more expensive, but compromises must be made. I would like to know about specific issues that could help me avoid problems down the road. Your concern for the buyer of your boat does not align with the useless comments you keep leaving in the FSH forums.

Ugh, I always have to do this and it confounds me every time. Please re-read my post correctly. For simplicity I have provided the key point you missed.

Incorrect sir, I do not want someone to unknowingly make the same mistake I did. When someone says they are considering the FSH, they should be made aware of all opinions and all situations...not only enthusiasts opinions that are supportive regardless of any shortcoming
