Has anyone experienced this with their fuel tank cover. Only have 10 hours on boat. Floor makes that loud creaking sound all the time. Going over small chop and rollers. Already tightened bolts, no change, pulled the cover off rubber gasket is in tact....?

No creaking on mine . It could be the shape if you lift it look for abarasions in the drip channel you may have to sand the underside lip . The door to my storage compartment was rubbing on the top requiring it to be pushed so the latch could turn. Took some sand paper to it sprayed some lube now the door shuts like butter . My seat bolster does have the same seam issue not as big let me know what they do with that

Ok, thanks. I haven't done that yet that will be my next step. No issues with my door or anything. The dealer said they don't have a separate part number for the bolster seat, but yamaha would replace the whole seat. It was just yesterday all this transpired with the dealer so I will keep you posted.

I would keep the pressure on the dealer and try to have this fixed (replace the fuel tank hatch).
It could be as simple as a an imperfection of a lip or as as bad as FRP delaminating or internal voids.
These kinds of claims can be much harder to get covered by warranty down the road.

Yes, your right. I will just have to take the boat in. The service manager said he hasn't seen or heard anything like that and they are a pretty high volume dealer. Definitely not a noise I can live with, and I don't want to be sanding down the lip getting fiberglass everywhere.

Well...did you take it in? What did they find?

Sorry it took so long for me to give an update. Yamaha stands behind their product in my case. They replaced the fuel tank hatch with a new one which stopped the creaking noises. They also relaced the entire captain's chair with a new one because of stitching issue.
