Hello everyone, I’m banging my head against the wall trying to come up with ideas on mounting battery trays in the battery compartment area I’m upgrading from the 24 Flooded cell batteries to a 24 agm start and 31 AGM house. I need ideas on how to mount the battery trays inside the compartment as the new batteries will not fit in the recess area. Can you screw into the bottom of the compartment area or should I epoxy PVC board and screw to it if so what kind of Epoxy works best? I cannot find anything on this upgrade anywhere.

:Welcome:
Don't waste your money on an AGM for the start battery, just a regular marine start is all you need. The AGM won't last any longer or work better.
and 31 AGM house.
You can probably screw into the deck, but I'm not sure what's under there.
How about using 5200 to install a battery holder, and a strap around the holder to the engine bulkhead?

Did you ever come up with a solution? I'm looking at adding a 3rd battery over the winter once the boat is out of the water, but did hook up my NOCO last night to charge the current batteries but it's currently just sitting in the battery locker, as there wasn't a lot of room I saw to be able to mount it, and as you said, the recessed area is going to be too small for anything other than a group 24 battery, from what it looks like. I may have to get a plank of wood or something and cover it, and mount the 3rd battery to one side (in a box) and the charger beside it? I think it could be more or less secured without really needing to drill into anything, if it's fit properly.

I do still have to modify my DVSR hookup as well, since it's a 3-bank charger and I'd like to take full advantage of it.

A 3-bank charger won't work as expected if you have two house batteries in parallel. You need to add a switch to break the two house battery bank into two separate batteries. A 2-bank is all you really need if you want to keep it simple and use the DVSR mod to isolate them. If you add a switch, you need to remember to flip it on/off for use and charging.
