Doing my first oil change on a 7hr boat this upcoming season, I noticed only about 2.25quarts of oil came out of the engine.

I have read through various threads of people getting from 2-4quarts out.

Would it be possible that from the factory the Ar190 came with only 2.25quarts of oil?

What has everyone else been pulling out of there engines?

You definitely need to make sure that you are getting all the way down in the dipstick hole and more it around a bit. And definitely use a electric or air powered extractor. I have a 18 ar190 and the first oil change I did I got 4 quarts out. But I changed it after I got home from the lake and the engine is still warm. The second time it was about 50 degrees outside and I had not used the boat in about a week and got about 3 quarts out.

Best to warm up the engine/oil, also critical to have the boat leveled if on the trailer (either just completely leveled or bow down slightly, and lower towards the strbd side) for getting most oil out.

I would replace same volume you retrieved and then adjust oil volume/level on a leveled trailer or better yet on the water.

Yes I got the boat leveled and did put the air pump down the dipstick hole all the way down about 22 to 23 inches.

I readded 2.25qt's of oil to be safe and will check levels again.

Level should be between the two dipstick dots if I am correct?

Correct on the dipstick. If you are in between the dots in a leveled boat - you good. Can always double check on the water.
I've tried once or twice to suck the oil cold, it takes forever. Also, I tend to pull and push towards the suction hose - when it stops pulling oil to make sure the end does not bend or get pinched somewhere down there.
