2018 GTS 207 top speed?

I have a 2018 GTS 207 with the 250hp motor. The boat tops out at 37mph-38mph at 7800rpm. Everything iv read says they top out anywhere between 41mph - 44mph at 8150rpm.

Any ideas why the boat would not be reaching those number at wide open throttle?

How many hours are on the boat? honestly speed sounds pretty close to mine, i can only go a little faster with everything extra out and perfectly flat water..
