2018 Lake Shelbyville Gathering July 25 - July 29, 2018

OK folks. Here we go!

Everyone, this will be the 11th, Annual Friends & Family Boaters Gathering. The 10th was over the top and very memorable! While we will be taming this one down some, it promises to be great again!

The Place: Lake Shelbyville, Illinois
The Dates: Wednesday, July 25, 2017 - Sunday, July 29, 2018

In the past, most of the participants have stayed at Lithia Resort ( http://www.lithiaresort.com/ ) which is 1/4 mile from a public launch and the Lithia Springs Marina (http://www.lithiamarina.com/ ), where you can rent a slip for the weekend (Reservations open up on March 1, 2018). Below are the participants that have already committed to the trip and the ones that are tentative. Let us know by responding to this post, if you are planning on attending. Cool. Is that a running date of last Thur - Sun in July?

I wonder how early we can reserve campsites. Might be cool, if we could get all the campers lined up next to each other. With the renovations this year, I think the few campers were pretty scattered at various campgrounds. Maybe that could be coordinated with a year's notice.

Awesome! That sounds good to us. I believe there's a map online that shows the various lots. I might try to look that up tonight.

Just made our reservation for Shelbyville 2018. We had a fabulous weekend and so very thankful. We stayed at Our Old House and so very accommodating for our whole group. If we have a camper next year, like I'm hoping, we might do the camping thing instead of the resort. It would be fun to have everyone camping in the same general area.

So sitting bored at work I am looking at camping spots we have 4 options. 3 by water and 1 by the action! Sites 10-16, 31-37, 56-62 are all by water. I haven't seen them personally but is what it is. Sites 85-100 would be close to the action. All of these are standard electric sites, non full hookup. Might have to use a bathroom caddy.

We are going there this weekend for our last trip to Shelbyville for the year. We plan on heading over to the campground and looking at the sites and taking pictures. I will check the service ratings as well.

I agree closer to the action would probably be better.
