My camper is 37ft, it isn't that bad to pull once you get used to it.
 
I have a 45ft fifth wheel, probably 40 ft behind when you count the bedroom areas which is up over the truck. I will say that the length doesn't really bother me other than needing to be careful when making turns but the height is scary if you are on a route you don't see tractor trailers on. ;)

I believe 13'6" is a standard trailer height. I know my tower with boat makes me 12' or so and i get paranoid on that stuff too
 
Aye...issue is some manufacturers don't count the air conditioning units. Mine measures with a tape from highest point to the ground is 14' even.
