First broken thing on my first day out... it was working (staying up) when I bought the boat, but seems to have been broken while it was with the dealer for inspection/warranty transfer. They said it will be covered under warranty and have ordered me a replacement, but has anyone repaired this problem themselves in the past? I would like to be able to use it until the replacement arrives.

I tried using Gorilla Glue construction adhesive to keep it stuck in the correct position, but it fell almost immediately. It's a pretty heavy mirror and the contact area for adhesive is small.

I'll go ahead and get the joke out of the way about how I have problems keeping it up ?

Do you have a pic of the failure point? Maybe you can use a c-clamp on it in the meantime?

I have had issues with mine. It would not fold down. I will be fixing it again tomorrow and will take a few pics.

Good idea but between the angle of the bracket and lack of contact area to clamp down on I couldn't figure out a way to make it work.

I guess you have the opposite problem and yours is stuck disengaged (locked). I suspect once you fix that, it will no longer lock again so then you may be stuck like me and no longer be able to use it any longer.

Fast cure 3M 5200. If they are replacing it anyway.
