Hi everyone,

My wife and I were about to order an 2022 AR195 and we found a 2019 (delivery taken in 2020) AR240.

It's listed for $60k with 76 hours on the engines. Used in salt water.

This would be our first boat. I'm curious people's thoughts on a 19' vs 24' boat for first-time boaters. We'd tow it with an F150 3.5L ECOBOOST. Also looking for opinions on this specific model and the owner's asking price.

Seems a bit high, but we haven't started any negotiation. A new AR250 looks to be around $61k.

Thanks!

is a seller's market now. prices are sky high due to low to no inventory. 19 vs 24 despends on you, will you take various ppl out on the boat? or is it just you and your wife? we have a 21 and we are a family of 4, rarely take out more than 6 ppl total on boat and capacity is 9 in our 21 foot. good luck

I would go new AR250 if I were you and put some fins on it to help you steer at slow speeds. You have no idea how well taken care of the 2019 240 has been those last 76 hours in salt water. I’d love to trust people but if you can get a brand new one for about the same price with warranty I would go with it. My wife and I have one kid, first boat was a 19ft crownline, put a couple more people in it and it was getting crowded quickly. I know the ar195s have more room in their class though. The next year we got our 08 AR230. We already have our sights set on the 250 model someday in the future because we want to make that bimini trip, lol (5-10 years). But for now the 230 provides a ton of room with storage so we are happy! We had 6 adults and two kids on our boat recently and felt I could pack another 3-4 adults no problem (even though our limit is 10). Buy your second boat first, get the 250! Even though it sucks to wait, it’ll be worth it!

Thanks everyone. We put down a deposit on a 2022 AR195 this week!
