I have a 2019 Yamaha AR195 and has been great this far. Recently I noticed once I get over 5000 rpm the thrust periodically skips. Wondering what is causing this and is this a precursor to something bigger mechanical coming? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Does it sound like it's overrevving for a second or so? That can happen if the pumps leave the water momentarily (usually in large chop or jumping a boat's wave). If it's happening during calm weather, I would check to make sure you don't have any gaps in your pumps silicone sealing and that nothing is stuck in your impeller or around your shaft.
