Hi everyone
New here! I just purchased a 210 fsh sport and just got it out of shop for 10hr maintenance. Twin tr-1 engines and the left is only showing about 6800 rpm and the right about 7500. Checked the ports and found no debris, engines sound normal but will only hit about 34mph? Before the routine maintenance both engines were running at about 7500 tops and around 42-43 mph. Any ideas?

@MichaelA. i have similar issue. Someone recommended I make sure wasn’t overfilled with oil. Hard to tell on the d stick but he recommend using a flat towel and indeed they were overfilled but still hasn’t rectified problem.

Check throttle cable adjustment and make sure buckets are out of the thrust as a start .
Thx I will check that out. I went back out and it’s only when I go to full Throttle the left tops out at about 6800 while the right engine still has room to go forward and tops out at 7500. Other than that everything sounds fine. And I checked the oil levels are fine since the recent maintenance.

Should top out at 7800-8000. Check throttle cables for full movement and that they hit the stops when wide open. Spark plugs. Oil level. These are the things that have affected my top end.

If oil was overfilled make sure air filters aren't saturated in ojl.

When my RPMs go down it is always the plugs, as long as the throttle cables are adjusted. But I’m sure you just paid dearly for that 10 hour service I would call that dealer up and ask what the hell is going on.

Michael I’m having the exact same problem, I’ll Max’s out at 7000rpm and on perfect conditions only hit 30 MPR.
I did notice when I had my fish finder installed they left the throttle cables out under the center Consol.
I took it upon my self to tuck them under the fiber glass cover above the fuel tank.

did you find anything to fix your/ my problem?

Check oil level warm. Should be half way between marks or slightly lower.... check warm and level. Check air filter, make sure they dont have oil in them. Make sure throttles are hitting the stops completely in engine compartment. Check spark plugs.

Did you adjust the right so it goes all the way? It should top out at 8,000. How about the left?

I’m thinking it’s going to be the stops.
but I’ll report back with my findings.
I have already needed to adjust my kill switches in the back transom.

I did have some adjustment on the throttle stops.

but I’m still maxing our at 31mph
I’m going to check my clean out ports to make sure they are seated properly.
But I don’t think that will be the issue.

What is your location? Altitude plays a big role.

Also check and make sure there’s nothing around the shaft or the props the only way my boat those 31 is when there’s a bunch of seaweed cought around the shaft

Really good point there. This is my first jet boat so there is a bit of a learning curve.
so far I’m really impressed with its ability to maneuver.

So I checked the props and they had nothing wrapped around them.
I did a GPS check with my phone we where traveling at 35mph.

I did notice that my RPM maxed out at around 7300/7500.
Do you guys hit the 8000 RPM mark?

Thanks for all the feed back on my questions.
maybe I can buy you a beer someday.

You should be hitting 7800-8000 RPM. I am at roughly the same elevation as you (Lake Michigan) that's what I get out of mine.

How much of a role does it play? I’m At about 1200 ft where I usually take my boat. We took it on a vacation to The Black hills of SD and I can’t get on plane. I can only get the port engine up to 7200 while the starboard side goes up to 8000 then rev limiter kicked it down. Only goes about 15 mph with our crew on board...
