I just purchased a new to me 2020 212S. I am going thru the glove box and found this, its called a Airmar blanking plug. Using Google, I discovered its a transducer, should it be installed? Thanks for the help.

That's the blanking plug for the transducer, not the transducer itself. If you need to pull the actual transducer out for whatever reason, you put this plug in it's place so you don't have a hole in your boat.
