I was looking at a new 2021 boat and saw this mentioned on the literature but can’t find any details of what exactly it is.....looks like it has been included since 2019.

would this include cooling passages or just the exterior pump components?

It’s a special coating they applied. Liner was also different.

Are you aware of any change to the hose clamps? I was shocked to learn that a common problem is the exhaust clamps rusting and failing as they are not SS. I am in the process of having to replace my clamps.

In my opinion, it’s sad that Yamaha is over looking this and marketing their boats for salt water use.

In my case, I was doing annual maintenance and noticed two clamps broken off in my bilge. I am fortunate in that I did not experience any issues while on the water.

Appreciate the feedback and was just expressing my opinion.

Happy New Years!

FWIW, I spray my clamps (along with the engine and electrical components) every year with Corrosion X, and they all look new after 3+ years in only salt water.

Thanks, after reading some of your other post, I read up about CorrosionX and have added it to my arsenal of boat/ski care products!
