Patiently waiting for boating season to begin? Or are you one of the lucky few that enjoys year-round boating?

Stupid Wisconsin weather just killed off snowmobile season, but it'll be months before we're on the water... UGH.

1 month or so from fishing in Lake St. Clair Maybe.

Would like to be fishing early to mid April. Guess when ice a crap floating down the river clears and the temperature is no longer going to freeze at night.

Does checking the oil level at the ramp count ?

Already boating here. New baby in the house has limited the number of trips though.
The few times we’ve gone have been surprisingly busy for winter...I sure hope most of these people get back to whatever in the hell they did before once COVID is gone but I kinda doubt it.

@AZMark Have a funny feeling it is going to be unhinged on the water this year with all the boat buyers...... :(

I know, it sucks. Our lakes are mostly small and will get shut down by 9-10am on a busy weekend due to lake and/or parking being at capacity.
I’ve seen you post some stuff about waiting in long lines and you’re by much bigger lakes so I guess it’s an issue everywhere.

Well at least your boating season is longer, may thin it out or people may get bored. Around here they lost their minds on Weekends in the inland lakes. True boating season here where the water is warm enough to swim in is 3 months long, give or take. So Yeah......

Our season is basically from end of April to near end of October, most years, and it was a total shit show the whole year start to finish. First day it hits 80* here and you can bet it'll be a total nightmare. Hopefully with all the ramps open it won't be so bad.......buuuuuuuuut we shall see. Fortunately FL is wide open and a lot of people are traveling again there. My neighbors all caught covid(better now) so they're like eff it let's go hog wild. They're in Mexico right now.

Took my ski out already this month. Missed January but was out in December.
Problem is got to many winter projects outside and with all the rain lately i am not getting much done.
I did start cutting out the pitbike/ atv track on my property though

April 11 is our record start date, set last year. Also the earliest we've ever been in the water...
Utah Lake - Air Temp 58° - Water Temp 56°

I'm not sure I'm going to have the same level of ambition this year or not... ask me in a month.
(Wetsuit is on its way)

That is dedication! I am looking to get out in April, but NO WAY that would include any watersports!

I’m hoping to get out in March. Probably can’t get the family on the Yamaha but hopefully the fishing boat can get some use.
