Looking at one in Texas. Dealer says 78,000 out the door with a cover/trailer/all taxes and fees. Does this seem high? The MSRP is 70k on Yamaha's website. Should I keep looking or pull the trigger?
haven't seen many new purchasers on this site talking about their deals.
covers are around 900, doc fees, title, taxes (tx 6.25%)....i'd think 70,199 price to end up around 75750ish....so they have some freight/rigging/markup added.
get them to send you a price breakdown.

That’s sounds right to me. I purchased an AR220 the beginning of May. MSRP on it is $54,899. With shipping and dealer setup it came to $59,600, this also included a cover, USCG accessory pack and a full tank of fuel. Add taxes, tags, title and registration it was $63,049 out the door. Based on the MSRP being approximately 15k less on the AR220 then the 222S your quote of $78,000 OTD seems reasonable to me.

I really like the 220. It’s our first boat. It does everything we want it to do great. Tubing, wakeboarding, even wake surfing. It’s the perfect size imo. However, I wish my budget could have been 80k instead of 65k and been able to get the 222S instead. The fastest Ive been able to get the 220 to go is 40mph. Which is fine but I got spoiled in years past riding in my sisters 016 AR240 which would hit 50+ in the right conditions.
Congratulations on the new boat! I hope you love it as much as I love my 220. Cheers ?
If you can wait, wait. If you follow any of the FB groups, you'll see that there are dealers that are starting to post boats for sale (new) under MSRP. The slowdown in sales has started. But if you can't wait, as long as you're happy with the price get it.
