I was able to spend some time in both the Yamaha 255XD and the 275SE this weekend.
I was always curious how the seating measurements compared so I went a little OCD with a tape measure.

I've been back and forth trying to decide between the 27' and the 25' boats. You would think the 275 would be the hands down winner, but now I'm not so sure. The amount of seating isn't that far off between the 27' and 25' boats, especially with the shorter bow seating in the 275. My biggest hangup with the 275 was windshield height. I'm 6'2" and when I'm seated normally in the 275 (without bolster) the top of the windshield intersects my eye line. I'd prefer to be able to see through the windshield clearly when seated in the low position. I could get a shorter pedestal, but I feel like a boat this size should have a higher freeboard and windshield. Comparatively, I sat deeper inside the 25' series boats. The windshield is about 2.5" higher than the 275 and you feel more enclosed. The freeboard height on the 25' are also higher in the rear of the cockpit making you feel more protected from the elements. Let me know what your thoughts are!
Here's my results:

Did you measure the inside dimensions of the under-seat storage? If so, please share.

One thought for the 275: you could replace the seat post with one that has an air height adjustment like this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QMSP8W...CQDSLTY4&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it
