So I just got my new 2019 FSH 210 that has the new removable backrests. I noticed when I insert then into the side they would easily just pull out without any resistance. Thinking that was not right I looked inside and noticed a little ball bearing in the back that should lock into a slot cut into the back rest arm that gets inserted into the side of the boat. I took it apart and sure enough there is a screw that appeared to be adjustable. I turned it out and now the arm inserts and clicks into place making the backrest secure. Just a FYI for anyone with the 2019. 20190331_162336.jpg20190331_162341.jpg20190331_162345.jpg20190331_162446.jpg20190331_162457.jpg

Never seen one taken apart??? looks like that could be retrofitted to my 2018????

I'm pretty sure it could be. I'd be interested to see if the factory part comes with the aluminum backer. If not you could get one cut.

it would pretty easy. I adjusted the detents on my 2019. Looked at how they were installed. Couple different ways can be used to epoxy the aluminum backing plate in. It is tapped to accept the mounting bolts
