Hello all, new to the forum, but owned several boats over the years. I currently have a 20’+ Lund fishing boat, and I am seriously looking at the 210FSH for an addition to the family, in hopes of getting a “fishing and Surfing” boat. Before I get too far, I am fully aware that the Jetboats are not Towboats in the performance levels of surfing, I have ballasted a many of boat to go surfing in the past on pre-wake convergence inboards, so I understand the many bags of ballast needed to weight the older towboats. What’s intriguing to me is the possibility of being able to have a center console fishing boat, and also a Surf capable boat all in one boat. Understanding completely that the 210FSH may not be the best at either of these, but “can do” both.

Has anyone installed a wakebooster on a 210fsh yet to see how the wake changes to develop the surf pocket ?

Thanks all!!

? I too am curious on the results......

The hull is identical to any of the 2018+ 21’ boats, including the 212X. I’d expect similar results to what they see.

I didn’t realize the hull was identical to the 212x......... so if ballasted properly, one would believe that the surf wave with booster would be pretty decent

I’m not a watersports guy really, but when I’m pushing water at about 10 mph and 4000 rpm, the wake looks huge. I’d imagine with ballast it’s bigger, but yes the hull design is the same so the results should be similar to any of the 21’ hulls. It’s possible there’s a weight difference between the models which could have an effect, so there’s always that to consider but I estimate my ready to launch weight 3800 lbs plus passengers.

I could be wrong but wouldn't the fact that the helm is centered and pushed back help with a better wave! If just my wife and I go out and to surf I need to put more weight on port side to counteract my weight at the helm when she is surfing. We currently own a 242 LTD S but I'm trying to convince her a 210 FSH would surf better!

Could be true, I don’t really know the physics of it. I will say that most wakeboats have a standard starboard side helm.

Yeah, I not sure why wake boats don't try center consoles. I mean going from direct to v drive was the big the push when moving from ski to wake just to push the weight of the engines to the rear, right?

From owning a 210 FSH Sport at about 4000rpm it throws a decent wake. I’m sure with some ballast and a wake booster it would be great. My issue is the t top isn’t designed for pulling from nor would I ever do it with mine. Don’t know if that’s something you need to consider as we use ours for fishing and family cruising.
