I'm convinced I'll be getting either the 212 limited or limited s. I like the look of the tower but it adds an extra 100 lbs. will this make a noticeable difference in top speed compared to the 212 limited? Also, which Bimini top offers more protection from the sun? Is there anything else that I should consider between the 2 models? A dealer told me the tower boats have a better re-sale value, is this true? Thanks for any advice!

Welcome @Jeff L
It is my opinion that the tower will have only a minimum impact on the top speed. And I agree with the dealer that tower boats are easier to sell. However, once you purchase one I doubt you will want to sell it.
I spent the weekend on a 2017 212X and was very impressed with all the features. We are here to help you with your questions (and help you spend your money on mods:)).

thanks @buckbuck! I appreciate your input. I'm anxious to get out on her this weekend to see what she's all about.

Something to consider, but I feel the tower bimini is much stronger compared and safer to run at high speeds than the folding bimini that uses the straps/buckles. We've seen people break straps or buckles when going WOT but I've yet to see someone break a tower bimini. I even remember seeing someone drive down the interstate with the tower bimini deployed while traveling for the Bimini 2016 trip! Can't remember who that was but I heard the bimini was fine.

It sounds like you prefer the look of the tower. Unless you are buying the boat for absolute speed but the S with the tower.
